Life is good but it is also sometimes difficult in various ways....I have lived alone for several years...The missus is paralyzed from a stroke and in a rest home for life...I go every day to visit twice...Obviously I am celibate....I feel very closed in with my caregiving responsibilities, although I do take a day or two off during the week while others go to be with her, and infrequently take trips in the region of three or our days for respite......I am looking for friendship or "club" type activities that would add dimension to my life, which though good, feels rather drab some of the time...By "club" I mean such as to include activities at senior centers, perhaps line dancing, etc..I also like and enjoy day trips, outings, flea markets, antique and just plain old "junk" stores...I have a university education and have retired from a major corporation...I have travelled on business to many of the principal cities in North America..

I would like to meet a nice, understandign lady in my age group for low key friendship...Inasmuch as this site is for platonic relationships, I am hoping someone will feel alright about getting to know someone like me...
