Putting Plato Back into Platonic I'd rather be provocatively idealistic than normal, pretentious and honest than ordinary or indistinguishable, paradoxical than plain or simplistic. So here goes: I'm not looking for FUN and I AM looking for someone who can write and spell English. I am looking for someone who is a romantic celibate and admires beauty of mind and soul; who enjoys the complexity of wit, understands the complexity of simplicity, and can recognize the simplicity of truth; who is unafraid of the examined life yet knows and respects the fear that is the beginning of Wisdom. I prefer the companionship of an energetic, inquisitive, and intelligent younger man who is eager to learn what an older man has to offer by way of aesthetic, moral, and philosophical experience and wants to share in the risks of argumentation and self-exploration. Emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually I'm looking for reciprocal and responsive companionship.

Put in yet more highfalutin (ooh, Orpheus, is that a pun?) terms: I am an actual Platonist, a nearly extinct species, seeking a fellow Platonist, whether actual or aspiring, i.e. a true Lover of Wisdom; the long-lost Soul-Mate in the fullest moral, philosophical, & spiritual sense; a genuine Existential-Essential, Real-Ideal Disciple of St. Plato, himself Disciple of St. Socrates & St. Pythagoras.
