love without S-- I'm an attractive woman who has survived the 'sex, drugs and rock n' roll' of the 60s! Despite the wild life I used to lead, I live a relatively quiet life now. I've only lived in Ireland for about 18 months and find it hard to make friends as a woman on her own. Until 9/11 I lived in the US for 11 years and I loved it - it took me a while to adjust to living back in the UK, but I got a job in a pub - which I thoroughly enjoyed. When the pub was sold, I moved to Ireland to be closer to my daughter and grandchildren, but she has now moved away - hence my solitary life! I'm not really interested in having a s----l partner, but I would like a partner to go out with, to share things with, to talk with etc., etc.. Right now I share my life with 2 cats whom I love dearly, and I love the cottage I'm living in, because it's in a quiet, secluded cul-de-sac - yet the town is just around the corner. The best of both worlds! My interests are reading, crossword and sudoku puzzles, music, gardening, cycling, baking, TV and movies. I love to learn new things and have recently applied for a course starting in Sept. which involves working with my hands - woodcarving, upholstery, gardening, art - but also includes writing and computers. Right now, I'm keeping my fingers crossed I get a place! I am very straightforward and don't suffer fools gladly! But I am also a good conversationalist and writer and am always up for a laugh. These days I don't go out much, but may have the very occasional glass of red wine at home or, in the hot weather, a beer. And, should it come my way, I'm not averse to a 'toke' now and then! After a while, you get tired of your own company, and I would love to find a partner with similar tastes and interests. I did try one conventional dating site, but S-- always 'rears its ugly head' LOL!
