Ready to dip my toe in water... I am a spiritual, God-fearing man looking to reconnect with the dating world. Being a transplant to the DC Metro area from the Pacific Northwest and not feeling comfortable with club/bar scene I have been looking for a forum to talk to women without s----l connatations getting in the way. The fact that HIV and STDs are rampant in my new city, my no longer being ruled by hormones as I once was in my youth, and a divorce six years ago I really have not been too enthused to date.

What I seek is someone to connect with in spiritual and emotional terms that holds truth in the same high standards as I do myself.

I don't really have a "type", but am attracted to ladies that believe themeselves to be attractive as well. If other men have informed you that you are attractive I will most likely too.

My interests are varied...In my spare time I am in pursuit of my graduate education, read entirely too many books, and watch TV. Despite all of these nerdy qualities still I consider myself to be cool and interesting since as a black professional man we are asked to be aware in many genres.

I love my black women, but will date any lady if she treats me right and will provide reciprocal treatment in return.

I do not have a set pciture of what my ideal mate should be molded from as I already stated. At the moment just placing my name on this website is a major accomplishment for me and marks that I am ready to interact with the opposite s--.
