Me: I'm upfront about everything- what I'm thinking, what I'm feeling, what I think you're thinking, what I think you're feeling, what I think the dynamics between us are, etc. I'm fairly sure that this tendency isn't overly awkward but I think it takes some getting used to. Usually, I tend to have divergent views about any issue you can imagine, from the economy, to s----lity, to race, etc.. I'm not really a "weird for the sake of weird" person, because those people bore me. I just like the idea of constantly refining everything that I do. I constantly refine my theories about the world, I constantly improve my piano playing, I constantly improve academically. It's a personality trait that I'm quite proud of and couldn't live without. In general, I am very low key and relaxed, except for occasions when I become very excited and dramatic about something. You will find that I am someone with several layers- at first, I like to have discussions to get to know someone, to try and understand how they think and who they are. The next layer is my silliness. Close friends find that I oscillate between the two, often in the same sentence.

Prospective you: I like men that like to debate and discuss and who are very articulate about their points of view, and very confident in what they think no matter what it is. I also like men who are very self-aware- about their feelings, thoughts, place in society, etc. I like it when men are intellectually playful and challenging. I guess I'm big on intellectual sparring.
At the same time, I like it when a guy is able to form close relationships and has a lot of depth of feeling. It's very nice to see a guy who is close with his family and childhood friends. Maybe this is a Brown-specific trait, but a lot of men I meet here are overly self-centered and/or career obsessed which is a turn off. Depth is attractive!
