Hi, I'm Elizabeth, 47 year old SWF. I live in NE Philadelphia, and find myself having tons of trouble finding intelligent friends who can talk about something besides the Eagles.

I am from Portland, Oregon, where people are more open-minded, friendly, and peaceful than where I am now - I miss that BIG TIME (Why oh why must people want to punch each out over every little thing in Philly? I don't get all the anger here.)

I am super-liberal, spiritual but non-religious, no kids, huge animal lover (I have two gorgeous kitties), and I'm craving like crazy to get back to the Northwest one day.

I like people who live proud, intelligent, responsible lives and whose values match my own - I have no use for anyone with sexist/racist/homophobic views, hunters of animals or those with no regard for the planet. I live a very healthy lifestyle - no smoking/drinking/drugs - and expect the same in the friends I choose. Once a year, I like to go out on the town, but the rest of it, I live a beachy kind of life, although I haven't seen the ocean since leaving Oregon.

I would be interested in making a friend who has a great sense of humor and lives close to Feasterville or Center City, for some coffee and smart conversation once or twice a week to make life a little less lonely. I plan to join a Unitarian Universalist church in Center City soon, if anyone would be interested in attending as well. I am not religious but I like the liberal mindset of the people there.
