As a member of the site.
I really like the idea of suggesting books.
I would really like to see the book section expanded.

A) It would be good to have a" Like " this book, rather than just voting on its relivance to celibacy.

B) A place to say what you think of the book

C) This might help us have more diccusion with each other

D) A section on Music.

What do people think?

We might be able to add a comment option into the Books area fairly easily, since we have something like that set up in the Video area. We'll look at how it could be modified to work within the Books directory.

As to adding a separate 'liking' of books (independent of voting on whether a book is 'On Theme' with the site), we're not too sure about that though.

We pretty much assume that if someone lists a book, they 'like' the book, and we use that as our data for determining the 'popularity' of any particular book within the site. For example, if three people list a book, and two people list another book, then the book listed by three people shows up as the most popular book (in this example). It's a pretty straightforward approach using member lists as the 'like' information. We'll discuss whether or not there would be some merit in adding a separate 'like' into the equation too, but for the shortterm, it doesn't seem likely.

For now, we are using member 'likes' for Books and Websites, but we do plan on adding Movies and Music down the road too.
